What is it?

Omaxian brings the Omarchy shell — its bar, dock, menu, themes and omarchy-* commands — to the Debian family on X11 / XLibre and i3, with no Wayland, no Hyprland and no dependency on systemd or other init systems.

Not a distribution — it ports only the shell, and X11 differs from Wayland, so compatibility with Omarchy is partial.

Before you install

Stock Ubuntu 26.04 ships without X11 — use Xubuntu, or `sudo apt install xubuntu-desktop`.
The shell needs Quickshell ≥ 0.2. Debian 13+ has it in apt; on older Debian or Devuan, build it from source. Build from source →
